If you are worried that a child, young person, or adult may be at risk of harm, it is important to take action.
You should contact the local authority responsible for the person’s home address, as safeguarding concerns must be reported to the council covering where the individual lives.
Immediate Danger
If someone is in immediate danger or at risk of serious harm, contact emergency services immediately.
Emergency services
- 999 – Police, Ambulance or Fire Service
- 112 – Alternative emergency number that also works across the UK
Use this option if:
- A child or adult is in immediate danger
- A crime is happening now
- Someone requires urgent medical assistance
