Post-16 Destinations
We are delighted that 5 out of our 6 leavers (83%) progressed to college courses in September 2026.

Preparing our students for adulthood and successful transitions beyond Lady Byron is an important part of our curriculum. Our careers programme is informed by the Gatsby Benchmarks, supporting students to understand the range of opportunities available to them and make informed decisions about their future.

Students receive individual careers guidance and opportunities to explore further education, training and employment pathways. We work closely with students, families, colleges and other professionals to support transition and ensure that next steps reflect each young person’s strengths, interests, aspirations and EHCP outcomes.

Celebrating Individual Achievement
At The Lady Byron School, examination results are an important part of achievement, but they are not the only measure of success. As a specialist school for autistic young people, we recognise individual starting points and celebrate academic progress alongside the development of confidence, independence, resilience and skills for adulthood.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and would like to thank our staff and families for their continued support.
